We work really hard at the North American Headquarters for Addiction Pet Foods and sometimes you just need to take a break. We had the opportunity to tour a local wolf sanctuary, so we all dressed in our best rain gear and headed to Wolf Haven for their tour and a private Q and A with one of the wolf handlers. It was great fun and also very educational. We invite you to take a tour with us through our pictures.
Dogs can develop food allergies just like people. However, unlike people, they cannot share crucial information for the most accurate diagnosis. With the help of a veterinarian, you should rule out other health issues before settling on a diagnosis of food allergy.
The tendency to develop allergies can also be genetically determined. Dogs with other allergies like inhalant allergies or atopy may be at increased risk for developing a food allergy. Dogs can also develop food intolerance from eating the same food day after day, which can produce the same symptoms as a food allergy.

Are you making the same walk around the block with your dog? Is every night a snuggle up in front of the television night with you and your cat? Maybe it’s time to try break out and try something new. And speaking of Groundhog Day, we heard the groundhog predicted an early spring this year so it’s a great time to get started and get ready for spring!
October is almost over now and the weather has shifted to a definite fall feeling. We’re drinking pumpkin spice lattes, baking homemade bread and eating hearty, warming meals. It’s a great time of year for starting new things. Kids go back to school, days get shorter and the dark nights and cold mornings mean more of us spending time indoors.
Now that summer is winding down, we can feel a touch of fall in the air. Long summer days are already shortening. The evening air is tinged with a chill, a reminder that in the […]
